It's a Guy Card

Oh! Such A Guy Card
Masculine cards are so hard to come up with, so when I do, yahoo!  Hope you enjoy this card and give it a try.

TIP:  I cut a 1-1/2 strip of Mossy Meadow, then added 1-1/4 strip of Espresso and then a third strip 3/4 of DSP this trick adds that little extra something.

Stamp Set: Big Day (SAB) and Gorgeous Grunge (background)

Ink: Lost Lagoon (pad for background and marker for the words), black, Smokey Slate for the highlight
 using a blender pen

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Crumble Cake, White

Accessories: Just a little ribbon

Lotus Blossom Sympathy

It is never easy for me to make sympathy cards, guess I can’t image living without all those that are close to me.  So it is a good idea to make a few ahead of time, so if the need arises I have already created them.

So much for the sad stuff!  Love this color combination using the Lotus Blossom stamp set.

TIP:      If you haven’t used this set yet, give it a try.  After a little practice, everyone at the class did it successfully.  (Squares are 2 and 2-1/4)

Stamp Set:  Lotus Blossom, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink:    Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette

Paper:  Something Borrowed DSP, Soft Suede, White

Accessories:  Scallop and small oval

Painted Blosom Butterfly

Beginning to Look Like Spring
This card was quick and easy.  Found a video on YouTube that showed how to use dryer sheets to get the small pieces out of the die.  Had so much fun showing everyone, although we sure had a lot of little pieces of paper everywhere.

TIP:  When you have a large area of white and you know it needs something, use another stamp to make the background pop.  I usually stamp it off once or twice so that it is soft.

Stamp Set:  Butterfly Basis
Paper:  Painted Blossom, Softy Sky, Whisper White
Ink:  Soft Sky (background), Island Indigo (words and sponging)
Acc:  Butterfly Thinlit, Small Butterfly (Martha Stewart)

Painted Petals Sneek Peak

Had so much fun with this stamp set and I am sure you will too!  Such a simple layout, used Garden Green and Cameo Coral with words in black.  Sparkled the dots and the center of the flowers with Dazzle Diamonds.  Hope you enjoy!

Framed Gift

I saw a sample of this on Pinterest and just had to try it myself using my favorite stamp set Kinda Eclectic. These turned out so well, that I made them for Christmas Gifts.   All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Stamps:  Kinda Eclectic, Papillon Potpourri, and a new Occasions 2015 set called Painted Petals
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Espresso
Ink:  Espresso and Crumble Cake, Soft Suede for the words, Baja Breeze for the butterflies (Baja Breeze is retired, but wanted to use up the ribbon).
Accessories:  Small and Large Butterfly Punches, a few pearls, and a ribbon. Purchased the frame from Michael's, I saw a similar one at Walmart.

'Tis the Season

November 13, 2014 Class Card

Just can't get enough Christmas and it's not even Thanksgiving.

  • Stamps:  Many Merry Stars, Mingle All The Way (inside words)
  • Ink:  Lost Lagoon
  • Paper:  All is Calm DSP, White, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, Silver Glimmer
  • Accessories:  Fun Frames, Tree Punch, Silver 1/8" ribbon
TIP:  Hand cut the frame (it's easy).  Use Score Tape or glue to attached glimmer paper (seems like it has a slick back).  Pop dot the tree to glimmer paper. Glue dot the bow.

Happy Stamping!
